A mixed-breed puppy was nearly left for dead on a roadside before a Good Samaritan found him and sought help.

Sarah Kosinski, the founder of Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue, believes the 3-month-old dog was either thrown from a car or hit by one.

The nonprofit claimed responsibility for Aiden and is seeing to his medical care.

Veterinarians at VCA All Care Animal Hospital in Fountain Valley performed an MRI scan on the dog’s spine and results showed his paralysis is likely due to a stroke brought on by trauma, Kosinski said Saturday.

“Aiden is showing signs of improvement and with help can already stand on all fours,” she said. “We hope that with the therapy and medication he will continue to improve.”

“He’s just the cutest thing ever,” Kosinski said. “I would not give up on my grandma, so why would I give up on him?”

The nonprofit is seeking help to pay for Aiden’s medical bills. Contributions can be made directly to VCA All Care Animal Hospital, account 144850-1. For more information, call 714-963-0909.
